Alder Stream Site Installations

Alder Stream is a highly scenic property that follows the stream through majority of the property. The property is dominated by shallow-flowing water and steep mountains. 34 hare snares were installed. The site locations varied greatly in habitat type. Some of the sites were near a mountain top pond, coniferous dominated hills, and at low elevation by stands of deciduous trees. Trap installations included stream crossings, navigating steep hills, and at times a confusing trail system. Several black bear were spotted and even a fisher in pursuit of its prey.
